Sick baby

Waiting for Hadley's prescription of antibiotics and inhaler. Double ear infection and bronchitis. Also, elevators and ear infections equal a screaming crocodile tear crying baby.

Uh my heart breaks seeing her like this.

2nd Tooth

I am pretty sure in Hadley's 6 month post I forgot some big news... Her first tooth! Over the holidays I had just finished feeding her and she grabbed my finger and put it in her mouth. Not unusual for her to put everything in her mouth as she has been going through the "teething" motions for awhile. Actually since 3-4 months. Her bottom right tooth cut through the gums somewhere around December 27th.

She has never been a fan of pacifiers and I actually threw away all of hers months ago. She doesn't suck her thumb either.... She chews her pointer finger and thumb at the same time. She uses both hands equally. She chews on them so much they are red and swollen so I bought some more pacifiers and she has been chewing on those as well!

Today her second tooth, bottom left, cut through the gums. Poor baby cutting teeth with a cold. She is a trooper though!

6 Months

What do you know I am actually posting her 6 month stats on the actual day weekend (started it on Saturday... no time to finish). I cannot believe Hadley is 6 months old. She is bouncing in her astroworld right now with a runny nose, but it doesn't seem to be slowing her down. We all have a cold right now, however we still managed to enjoy this beautiful day with a family walk. We figured we better get it in before the Arctic blast comes through tonight.

Diapers: Size 3. Elsa still has her in size 2... They are on the verge of not fitting at all, but she is not wasteful at all and she is trying to get through the rest of the box.

Eating: She has oatmeal and fruit in the morning with a bottle, then 2 more bottles throughout the day. Oatmeal and a veggie at night then a bottle right before bed. She is not liking her highchair very much so therefore this leads to lots of bad singing, loud cheering, and clapping from us.

Sleeping: She has been having some issues with rolling over on her tummy and then not flipping back over. That happened for a couple of days, but for the last few it has been back to her normal sleep schedule. Last night she went to bed at 6:30 and woke up at 10 p.m. really congested, after rocking for a little bit she went back to sleep until 9:15 this morning.

Clothes: She is in 9 month pj's. Some 6-9 outfits, but mostly 9 months or 6-12 month outfits. I feel like I am packing up more clothes that no longer fit weekly. So therefore it makes me think of she needs more clothes and then I get these awesome deals on zulily and currently have 3 shipments on the way to our house :-/

What is new lately: Sitting. She cannot sit by herself for long, but can sit supported and with a toy unsupported for a few seconds.

She has her 6 month checkup and shots in a couple of weeks. I will blog about her actual stats then.. I can only guess as to her weight and height right now - BIG :-)

I have lots of pictures to post and will soon.

It's Official

The Kannady family is sick :(

I tried to Lysol and bleach everything and use hand sanitizer constantly but it didn't work...

I have said it's a cold and have a ride it out mentality. Matt started getting sick and immediately went to the Dr.. She said it is upper respiratory infection and now Matt has a nice $220 collection of prescriptions. I of course rolled my eyes and told him that is one expensive cold.

Now that Hadley is starting to show symptoms my immediate reaction she needs to go the doctor. So we'll see how she is doing in the morning. She is sleeping really good right now with the cool air humidifier. I have been sick for a week now.... I really hope hers doesn't last that long. It makes me sad to know I got everyone sick. And for being so sarcastic to Matt about rushing to the doctor. I want us all healthy again very soon.

Rolly Polly

Lately, Hadley has been a little frustrated and is crying at night. I figured it was from her first tooth that cut through the gums, but that wasn't it. Maybe it was the fact she wants to move all the time and is frustrated she can't get there. While that is part of it... it is because she rolls over onto her tummy and HATES it. She will not sleep on her tummy. She is squealing until you come flip her back over. She usually sleeps on her side, but now instead of stopping at her side she goes all the way over. Since I have been sick the last couple of days Matt has sleep in the guest room (apparently wearing multiple breath rite strips at one time doesn't help when you have a cold) and said he goes and flips her back over 3-4 times a night.... uh poor Matt! Hadley better learn to like sleeping on her tummy! And to think I was worried she didn't roll from her back to tummy enough... uh! Be careful what you wish for! Right now I am really working on her sitting on her own so she can crawl soon... I'm sure I will be wondering what I was thinking soon enough!
