December in Review

We are about to start have started the new year, but before we go there I want to recap what the month of December has been like in the Kannady household. Oh what a month it has been..  (oops.. you can tell when I began writting this post)

The beginning of the month slipped away quickly (or I just cannot rememeber anything anymore- both are probably true) and then we were in full celebration mode. A friends kids Christmas party (a great idea and so much fun!) with a surprise visit from Santa really set the tone of all the activites to come. The busy season, for us, started on December 15. I volunteered to take the breakfast with Santa pictures in our neighborhood; that afternoon we celebrated Rhylinn's 2nd birthday and then in the evening we went to a friends annual Christmas party. The kids did exceptionally well. I should really have more faith in them. I think I am the one who makes it a bigger deal to have so much to do.. they are always just along for the ride!

Once that day was over, it was really just a few days left of work and then Christmas. Christmas for us consisted of 3 celebrations. It was like ground hog day (but in a good way) starting December 23 - 25th.

Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving in pictures

Normal Thanksgiving weather here: short
sleeves and shorts
Nothing like a little Thanksgiving Eve frozen fruit bar!

even the pups enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiving treat
Don't let Zoe's size fool you.. she is the alpha dog!
Koda comes and gets us when she will not let him chew on the rawhide
Nicely sharing.. for now

Such a kissable face!
Crosby can't stop messing with his teeth with his tongue
We were laughing that they were both grabbing
his neck
The sibling pushing and shoving has started
Hadley has the upper hand here..
Now Crosby :-)
Mischievous much

He may have said mama first but he has been saying dada this
weekend!
Playing the drums

Sister is funny!

The kids helping bake pumpkin cheesecake.. well not so much
Crosby (or Hadley :-)) but it was fun!!

she can stir!!

You have it backwards there buddy!
Where is my turkey?!
Pulling up on everything. Turns out rocking giraffes are not that stable!

Giving him a little 'help' to move out of her way

Crosby getting right in the middle of the action

Again pulling up on everything!
Celebrating putting the puzzle together with a little flip!

I asked her to lay on her puzzle with her hands under her chin so I
could take a picture... I should have said lay on your tummy, too. haha

Checking on our cheesecakes.. had to make a Hadley size one
for her to try.. she liked it!

While waiting on the cheesecake we played a little play-doh

Our little sunshine or is it dinosaur??! We never really knew what
this towel was supposed to be.
I can make a mess...
... and Matt cleans it up. I am lucky and I know it!!
Hoping for a little treat
Zoe enjoyed a little treat, too.

Taking a bath in mommy's bath... it is like she is swimming.

"look mommy, look mommy I have beard like Santa"
Okay I am guessing from the look on her face she is done
taking directions from me.

A little playtime after our Thanksgiving meal

I think he is looking at me to save him!!

"Get her off of me!"

"Mommy.. help me!!"
*He was fine and was really laughing but
it looks like he was desperately asking for help!*

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving day! A trip to the park was just what the kids needed!

I am blessed by these two babies and enjoyed them very very much this holiday week!
